Why am I running?

"The Heritage Area Group" and "Against The Heritage Area Group" came in front of the Kalihi/Palama N.B. Board which I was a member of last year and did a presentation.  I was shocked that my opponent knew about the Heritage Area for 5-6 years and in fact, was very much involved in trying to put it into legislation here.  She failed to inform her constituents about it.  I have testified about this in front of Sen. Carol Fukunaga with other citizens.  As of now, it is on hold in Washington D.C.

Other Issues

The economy is one of the biggest problems facing Hawaii, and the job picture is also very bad. We need to address and encourage growth and alternative energy.

Programs to assist displaced persons, displaced homemakers, and the homeless need to be improved. There also needs to be greater coordination among all of the groups working on these programs.  The need to get along and working with people who have very different viewpoints, cannot be underscored enough. As an outsider with grassroots support, my campaign continues to focus on representing all segments of our community and being accountable to my constituents. I will work with whoever is elected to achieve what is best for our State.

A representative government must ensure that your voice is sought out and heard. The decisions that our legislature makes should reflect the will of the citizens of Hawaii. As a candidate for State House, my goal is simple. Listen to the people and make decisions which will improve the quality of life here in District 27 and Hawaii nei.

I Am A Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Auntie to many...

I have often seen and felt the prejudice as well as being ignored because of being different.

I understand life’s challenges at every level because I have lived them. It has been those life experiences that has allowed me the opportunity to grow and have the depth of compassion I share so freely with others.

I am who I am because of the God I believe in.
